I have a strong conviction that education is a great panacea for human sufferings. We use education to encounter the present challenges and to translate our vision of progress into reality. It gives me immense pleasure that my team is leaving no stone unturned in the performance of this noble task of educating the students for their professional careers and character building.
The research activities in the university are attracting the attention of students all over the country and quenching their thirst for knowledge. Marine Sciences may seem alien to many in Pakistan, but our faculty is venturing into it. The study of Marine Sciences has increased significantly due to the expansion of Pakistan's Exclusive Economic Zone from 200 nautical miles to 350 nautical miles. The study of Water Resources Management is crucial in addressing the current and upcoming water and energy crises in the country, while also paving the way for the development of agricultural resources. Our faculties of Agriculture, Veterinary & Animal Sciences, and Water Resources Management are creating a beautiful triangle for economic development.
The social and economic problems that are unhinging our society can only be addressed by educating our society and generating resources for economic activity while utilizing available resources efficiently and effectively. The Department of Economics and Business Management is preparing human resources for the upcoming needs in these areas.
The importance of Computer Science and the English Language in the present era cannot be overstated. It is widely believed that both open a gateway to the world of knowledge. Our Departments of English, Education, and Computer Science encapsulate natural sciences to provide a better environment for the development of sciences as a vibrant factor in the economy of the province and country.
My message to students is that they should dedicate themselves to their studies and equip themselves with the latest techniques and trends in their fields. They are the ambassadors of the university; they should earn a good name for their family and their university by working for the welfare of society.
