4-Week Faculty Training at LUAWMS with NAHE-HEC

A four week training program, titled "National Outreach Program for Faculty", innaugurated at the Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences (LUAWMS) in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE-HEC). The program aimed to enhance the teaching capabilities of faculty members, ensuring their professional growth and development. The training session was formally inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen. Managing Director of HEC, Ms. Noor Amna Malik, joined the event as the Chief Guest via video link, accompanied by Assistant Director (NAHE), Mr. Sohail Raza Mangi. The event was attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Illahi Bakhsh Marghzani, Deans of various faculties, Directors, the training coordinator, and Deputy Registrar Mr. Faqir Muhammad Baloch, among others. Director of FAST University Karachi, Prof. Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Memon, participated as a resource of Module-1 titled "Teaching as Profession in Higher Education". Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen expressed gratitude to HEC and NAHE for their facilitation in such an impactful program. He emphasized the importance of these training sessions in equipping faculty members with advanced teaching skills, which play a crucial role in strengthening the academic environment. He further added that continuous training helps unlock the potential of educators, fostering an atmosphere of knowledge sharing and innovation.

Addressing the participants, Managing Director (NAHE) Ms. Noor Amna Malik highlighted the significance of conducting training programs at the doorstep of universities to ensure maximum faculty participation. She stated that experts from diverse fields as resource persons will enhance the quality of training, enabling faculty members to gain valuable insights and experiences.
